Eman was first registered with the GDC in June 1999 following her graduation from Glasgow University school of dentistry with commendation. She completed her vocational training in North Yorkshire in the beautiful market town of Northallerton. She returned to Glasgow to carryout a number of senior house officer jobs in various specialties in dentistry including oral and maxillofacial surgery. In 2003 she started her three year specialist training in orthodontics at Kings College hospital in London and the royal surrey hospital in Guildford. At the latter she was lucky to attend the cleft lip and palate joint specialty clinics on monthly basis, and experience that was not available to many of her peers. She graduated with Masters degree from King’s College London University. Eman has worked with children for many years and she enjoys continuing to do so as an orthodontist.
She is also a clinical supervisor at
Edinburgh Dental Institute EDI, training young orthodontic trainees and Edinburgh University Masters students. She believes strongly in continuous professional development of herself and staff alike, hence she ensures that staff are able to attend courses and study days that enrich their knowledge and improves their skills. Eman is a member of many professional bodies and sits on some of their council committees.
Outside orthodontics, she enjoys spending her time with her husband, children and friends. Eman also spends considerable time carrying out voluntary work, organising and participating in community charitable events.
